Marriott International has signed an agreement to open The Ritz-Carlton Fiji, Namuka Bay, the first The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Fiji. Expected to open in 2030, the 249-room luxury resort will be on a 28-hectare beachfront site on the Coral Coast.
Marriott says the resort will “deliver the brand’s vision to inspire life’s most meaningful journeys and is positioned to be the most luxurious resort on Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu”.
Designed to reflect the Fijian culture and heritage, the resort is expected to have 166 guest rooms and suites, most with ocean views.
Another 83 villas will have private plunge pools and outdoor decks. There will also be a Presidential Villa with private pool, large balcony and yoga lounge.
When it’s time to dine, there’s a choice of seven restaurants, and for the active, two large pools, an exercise area, yoga studio and tennis courts.

The Ritz-Carlton Fiji, Namuka Bay will join Marriott’s portfolio of five properties in Fiji, including Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, Sheraton Denarau Villas, Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island, Fiji and The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, Fiji (slated to reopen in 2025).

Marriott International has confirmed its expansion in Fiji, signing an agreement for The Ritz-Carlton Fiji, Namuka Bay. Earmarked to open in five years time, the 249-key new-build luxury resort will be situated in the heart of the Coral Coast occupying a 28-hectare beachfront site.
The luxury eco-resort was originally linked to Developer Chiodo Corporation in 2023, who is currently under investigation by the Australian corporate watchdog.
The deal with Luxurious Resort (Fiji) Pte Limited marks the brand’s debut in Fiji.
