About the nominations
Britney was nominated alongside two others in the Fiji Pride Champion category while Ecotrax was nominated in the Visitor Attractions and Activity category.
“I am just so excited and still shocked at winning and I only found out on Monday.
“Really from here on it doesn’t matter who wins but I feel three of us selected and Ecotrax are all winners.”
About the business
Based at Cuvu Beach near the old Fiji Sugar Corporation quarters, Ecotrax is one of its kind in Fiji or as Britney put it, “we have no competition”.
“We take our clients to see the authentic Fiji – there is no rehearsal and nothing is staged.”
Britney said their guests visit villages and places where they would find women going about their daily chores such as washing clothes and the men working in the fields.
The company used old sugar cane rail lines where they have mounted bicycles on a specially designed rail truck that sits on the tracks.
“I feel we offer something nobody else has and that our guests see Fiji as it is.”
